Paleo-cons, Neo-Cons, & Dems Unite for New Cold War

By Aleksandr Aleksandrovich

While politicians in America work overtime to try to deflect attention from their embrace of socialism one might thing that parties are divided on all issues.  This would be inaccurate however for one issue has managed to unite all sides from the idealists who supported Ron Paul, to the Neo-Cons who backed McCains attacks on Russia, to Democrats, once again bemoaning murdered journalist as though Vladimir Putin stalks them himself every evening.  Not buying it?  Consider what has come this week.

FoxNews, a leading NeoConservative outlet this week suggested that Russia was defending Nazism, as well as Stalinism when the son of Vyacheslav Molotov noted that while his father secretly dissented with major aspects of Stalinism he felt the non-aggression pact between The Soviet Union and Germany was a positive step in defending the world from a massive Nazi empire.  Firstly there is nothing objectively surprising with that opinion especially coming from a dead Soviet official, and committed communist party member.  Secondly this is not an opinion shared by most Russians nor one which is official Russian Federation policy. (For those who don’t know in the 90s the Soviet Union disintegrated, and among other sovereign nations on the territory the Soviet Union ccupied is the Russian Federation.)  As they had no objective evidence Fox decided to quote Dr. Pavel E. Felgenhauer, an anti-Russia ‘analyst’ who insisted the issue was lively in Russia at the moment.  Interestingly, even as publications like Fox insist all of Russia’s press is government controlled the only articles that showed up on government run sites like Ria Novosti were one noting Molotov’s son’s comments, and another calling the pact short sighted.  Judging by the lack of comments on either article it doesn’t seem it’s a very lively topic for a nation currently preoccupied with a massive industrial accident (and thus unprepared to defend against nonsensical attacks for American Neo Cons).

Perhaps out of fear for seeming less relevant that they’ve obviously become since the elections American ‘Traditional Conservative’ outlets which bill themselves as Paleo-Conservative, and Constitutionalist have also been rallying for a new cold war.  William Jasper of The New American, an official publication of the John Birch Society, was busy last month looking for communists party members in his closet suggesting that the fall of communism was all an elaborate hoax.  Not content to seem like simply that crazy old coot always hankering for the war with yesterday’s enemies he also postulated this month that any time revolutionaries attack police that too is in fact just the KGB, which still secretly exist.  Meantime the New American ran with the communism’s fall secretly never happened rhetoric releasing another article suggesting that any vaguely authoritarian government nearby Russia is in fact secretly you guessed it actually communist and actually run by the KGB. This seems odd from the same movement that gives us Pat Buchanan who has generally taken the American founder’s opinion that *gasp* What Russia does within its borders and with its neighbors is not a concern of the US, let alone worth starting wars over.  Similarly Ron Paul has often called attention to the millions that the United States has spend buying leaders in countries surround Russia literally with taxpayers money and then spending more money to make sure they get elected.  One quickly realizes however that there are too many aging codgers in the paleo-conservative movement who will only write letters and send donations if there’s commies hiding behind every corner.

Still not convinced there’s a war campaign afoot?  Well check out the recent article from the New York times insisting that the Russian government is murdering journalists and essentially echoing the claims that the Soviet Union or at least the KGB still exist.

Now I don’t know about you but when parties and movements which usually fight tooth and nail against one another magically all agree on a new war I get suspicious (especially when the economy is in the dump and there’s legitimate concerns like rampant increasing socialism, 2 expensive money wasting wars that have lost public support, and scarce news to distract from the increasingly abysmal state of things).  It’s no secret that America’s intelligence agencies do have operatives inside any political movement that stands a chance of being covered even by regional media.  In fact I doubt seriously they’d deny it, instead calling manipulating parties ‘in the national interest’ the same as the Soviets used to.

Bottom line?  This is a big case of both the pot calling the kettle black, as well as ‘methinks the gentleman doth protest too much’.  Don’t get conned into supporting a new Cold War by these clowns; their ilk has already brought the dismal state of things America is currently enduring.

Fortunately the bankrupt overextended USA has no money and no military left to effectively challenge Russia. Now that the junkie pedophile Michael Jackson is dead, perhaps the diseased whore Madonna will be sent to Moscow to “Americanize” Russian youth. She’s only fifty some years old.

  • Мне нравятся Ваши посты

  • It reminds me of what the liberals had to say about the GOP conference in Hawaii… which was bogus as usual; whereas this guys point is bulletproof.
